StooShe Feat. Travie McCoy: Love Me (Official Music Video)
It says something when you’re able to rope in a big name to collaborate on your official debut single, but that’s just what new girl group on the block StooShe have gone and done on this, the debut single to be lifted from their forthcoming album ‘Swings and Roundabouts’.
Yesterday, Alexandra, Karis and Courtney unveiled the video for ‘Love Me’, a sanitised version of their early YouTube hit ‘F**k Me’, which will serve as the follow up to buzz track ‘Betty Woz Gone’ and features a guest chorus from Travie McCoy. The Gym Class Heroes frontman clearly isn’t shy when it comes to contributing to other artists’ hits, but his previous form does include work with Kelly Rowland and Taio Cruz which is a sign that StooShe may just have, as Kavana put it so nicely, that special kinda something.
‘Love Me’ will be available to download in March and, with Girls Aloud and The Sugababes on hiatus and The Saturdays recently failing to match their early commercial successes, it’s an ideal time for the charismatic trio to strike. The pop/hip-hop track sounds current and fresh, and the video gives the girls ample opportunity to show off their personalities and funky (do people still say that?) attitude. What you have here is something vibrant and exciting that potentially earmarks StooShe as the next big British girl band.
