Agnes: One Last Time (Official Music Video)

Whilst Loreen soars high in the UK iTunes top 2 with ‘Euphoria' off the back of her Eurovision win, spare a thought for fellow Swedish singer Agnes Carlsson, who has just unveiled the video for her brand new single 'One Last Time'.

'One Last Time' will surprise folk expecting another eurodance record of the 'Release Me' vibe. It's instead a simple heartfelt electronic ballad and it's pretty stunning in its simplicity. Carlsson's vocal is quite haunting, and there are some lovely Enya-esque backing 'ahh ahh's.

The stylish black and white clip shows the singer and her lover coming to terms with their relationship breakdown. Its simplicity perfectly reflects the heartbreak expressed in the lyrics.

Despite a career that spans back to 2005 in her home country, it was 2008’s ‘Release Me’ from Agnes’ third studio album - the brilliantly named ‘Dance, Love, Pop’ - which got the rest of Europe’s attention, peaking at #3 in the UK and reaching the Top 10 in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Holland and Switzerland.

However whilst her Swedish success continued, the album couldn’t chart any higher than 112 in the UK, and the follow up single ‘I Need You Now’ peaked at #40 before quickly disappearing.

'One Last Time' is taken from Agnes' forthcoming fourth studio album was released in Sweden earlier this week, soaring in to their iTunes Top 10.
