Loreen unveils official music video for the Eurovision-winning Euphoria

Swedish singer Loreen has debuted the music video for her Eurovision-winning entry ‘Euphoria’.

The somewhat belated clip which arrives a month after the singer’s victory sees Loreen taking her interpretive dance moves to a meadow, where she becomes at one with Mother Nature. Alas, there is no foot shuffle.

On its release, ‘Euphoria’ became the highest charting Eurovision track in the UK since our last winning entry - Katrina & The Wave’s ‘Love Shine A Light’ - peaked at #3 in 1997. It is the best performing non-UK entry though since Ireland’s Johnny Logan hit #2 with ‘Hold Me Now’ back in 1987.

That was a good ‘un, wasn’t it?

Anyway, this infectious dance track undoubtedly deserves the video treatment but I do wish they’d given her a platform on which she could perform the full routine which certainly contributed to her victor status. Or at least a spotlight.

What do you think?
