New Music Video: Pet Shop Boys - Winner

The Pet Shop Boys have unveiled the video for their single ‘Winner’ which features a transexual being accepted in to the roller derby, a roller skating contest that is exclusive to women. 

The track serves as the first official cut to be taken from the duo’s eleventh studio album ‘Elysium’ and it’s a gentle yet uplifting electronic song that, like many a single being banded around at the moment, may benefit from a perfectly-timed release which coincides with the ramp up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The track was released to UK iTunes shortly after the lyric video was premiered on 3 July, but a full digital bundle and CD release is scheduled for 6 August. They will feature bonus tracks and remixes with ‘Elysium’ following on 17 September.
