New Music Video: Alyssa Reid feat. Snoop Dogg - The Game

A few weeks back, I mentioned that Alyssa Reid would be releasing a remix of the title track from her debut album ‘The Game’, featuring guest vocals from Snoop Dogg.

Well, it’s arrived and it’s not too different from the original to be honest. Whilst the very original version that was released in her Canadian homeland featured samples of her own Heart-sampling hit ‘Alone Again’, those self-samples have been replaced with new lyrics.

Then you just have Snoop kicking off the track and offering a chilled out rap, two thirds of the way through. The wonders of technology used to incorporate him in the video are also mind-blowing. Actually though it’s Alyssa’s feisty chorus that is the most memorable part of this follow up, due for UK release on 20 August.

It may be one of the most recycled tracks of the year so far, but far from being one of the worst.
